Skims Global was built on a straightforward idea: that quality healthcare shouldn't depend on where a patient happens to live. Over ten years, that idea has grown from a single manufacturing brand into a group built on manufacturing partnerships across four regions, reaching more than 30 markets across Africa, the Middle East, and Central and South Asia.
The early years were about proving the model — showing that a group anchored by a certified manufacturing brand in Pakistan, Skims Pharma, could compete credibly in public health tenders against long-established international suppliers. That meant building the internal capability to handle every stage of the tender process: pre-qualification, technical documentation, bid submission, and — most importantly — reliable, on-time delivery once a contract was won.
A decade on, Skims Global has delivered against more than 50 tenders, working with procurement bodies and distribution partners across markedly different regulatory environments — from Kenya's Pharmacy and Poisons Board requirements to the logistical realities of supplying markets like Afghanistan and Yemen. Each market has required its own approach, but the underlying structure has stayed the same: one accountable group, from raw material to final delivery.
Looking ahead, the focus remains on deepening relationships in existing markets while extending our manufacturing network into new ones — always anchored by the same purpose that got us here.
